For convenience, I have made a copy of the endnotes with the textual emendations in a separate file, for ease of reference. Also, as a supplement, I have compiled a complete metrical analysis of the verse lines in King Lear. I believe the full potential of Shakespeare’s plays is best obtained when their rhythms are appreciated. This is one of the factors that makes original punctuation important. Here is the complete metrical analysis, keyed to the above edition. The specialized terms in this analysis are explained in the glossary on this website.
